Mouth Guard

If you’re actively involved in sports, you need to stay protected from various sports-related injuries. At North Beach Dental Surgery, we make sure that your teeth stay healthy by offering mouth guards that will keep them safe. They serve other purposes as well. For example, if your little one grinds their teeth during sleep, mouth guards can be the perfect solution for them.

What are mouth guards?

Mouth guards are placed over the teeth to shield them. They generally cover the upper teeth and protect the soft tissue inside your mouth. We make mouth guards for kids as well as adults. To make children more comfortable with mouth guards, we make them in different colours.

When we make mouth guards, we ensure that they fit completely. Tight ones can be uncomfortable and loose guards can fall off during playing. It takes two visits to get the perfect guards that will keep your teeth safe from rough play and grinding.

Our mouth guards are an ideal solution because they:

  • Are designed to stay firm in their place
  • Cause no obstruction in speaking
  • Offer a comfortable fit
  • Are easy to clean
  • Are durable and last for years

How to get it done

It would normally take two visits. During the first visit, our dentist will take a mould of your teeth to ensure the perfect fit. Then it will be sent for preparation. During the second visit, the dentist will adjust the mouth guard in its place and ask you if it’s comfortable. In a majority of cases, it is. If it’s comfortable, you can go home. Otherwise, the guard will be sent for alterations. The entire process is easy, quick, and painless.
